Board of Directors & Staff
Preservation Massachusetts is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and maintains a professional staff that collaborate on advocacy, programs and projects, and with project specific consultants, such as legislative and conference planning. We also work with partners statewide, regionally, and nationally. Our office staff work from our base in Plymouth, MA, while our Circuit Riders work “in the field,” responding directly to requests for advocacy assistance.
We're Hiring: The James Igoe Historic Preservation Fellowship
Preservation Massachusetts (PM) established the James Igoe Preservation Fellowship to honor the 20 years of dedicated leadership of former president and executive director James Igoe, who retired at the end of 2021. PM seeks candidates for the 2025 James Igoe Preservation Fellowship, a program that will fund an individual for up to six (6) months to work with PM to gain hands-on preservation experience through a dedicated project led in collaboration with PM staff and leadership, and with access to the Preservation Coalition network and statewide partners. Fellows have the opportunity to engage in the daily operations of PM—fostering community engagement, developing educational programming, identifying funding resources, building strategic partnerships, and advocating for endangered historic resources.
