DIY: Learn How to Fix Old Windows

We are very excited to be partnering with Jade Mortimer of Heartwood Window Restoration to offer this hands-on window restoration workshop!

When: Saturday, June 2, 2018 Time: 10:00-4:00 Where: Charlemont, MA

In this hands-on workshop, attendees will learn the steps in the repair of old wood windows.

Topics discussed will include sash removal, steaming sash for glazing removal, glass cutting, setting and glazing the glass as well as paint, storm windows, hardware, book and tool options.

Old windows are built in a manner that lends them to being repaired rather than replaced. Each component can be repaired or replaced—trim, glass, rope and paint will be forever available. Weather stripping and or storm windows can be installed to make single glazed windows just as efficient as a replacement window with a much longer life span and less carbon footprint.

Workshop limited to 10 attendees

Cost:

$50.00 for PM Paid Members $75.00 for Nonmembers $90.00 PM Membership and class
