Helpful Hints
-
Read all questions carefully and answer completely.
-
You may prepare written responses in a separate word-processing document. There is no way to "save" your progress once you begin filling out the form, so refining your answers in a secondary document is a good option. This helpful LOI Question Prep Document lists all the questions you will have to answer.
-
Be specific! The more specific your grant request and project, the better we can understand your request.
-
Size does matter! The grant is for a maximum of $10,000, which is meant to be impactful for a project. Smaller projects where these funds can make a marked difference are encouraged over larger, more financially complex projects. You may consider submitting a portion or phase of a larger project for consideration. Viewing past grant awardees can give a sense of the size, scope and types of projects that are a good match for this funding program.
-
Be sure you are eligible! Please check the eligibility requirements and our FAQ section to ensure your organization and project meets the requirements for funding.
-
Be thorough and clear in your descriptions. This is our organization's first "glimpse" of your project and quite possibly your organization; you want to make a good first impression.
-
Please hit "SUBMIT" once you have entered all your answers and attached your photographs.
-
Be patient. We receive numerous letters of inquiry, and while we would love to discuss each and every submission in detail with you, this isn't possible with our staff capacity. If you have an urgent question or concern, please contact us.
