Each fall, Preservation Massachusetts hosts the Believe in Preservation fall event to announce the annual Massachusetts Most Endangered Historic Resources. The event is a great educational and networking opportunity for anyone interested in preservation in Massachusetts.
This year Believe in Preservation will recognize the historic properties damaged by the June 1st tornadoes and the dedicated citizens working to preserve and restore their communities. Featuring the public presentation of the 2011 Massachusetts Most Endangered Historic Resources list, this year is dedicated to historic properties damaged in this summer’s tornadoes in a number of central and western Massachusetts communities.
The evening will also feature our 2nd Annual Community Spirit Awards, honoring local groups who have demonstrated extreme dedication to the preservation of their community in the wake of this summer’s natural disasters.
This year’s Community Spirit Award Recipients are
Springfield Preservation Trust
The Monson Historical Commission
The University of Massachusetts, Amherst Historic Preservation Graduate Program
